Meet the Authors
Celina-I get a quirky kind of joy from discovering ways to beat consumerism, especially if it also involves being environmentally and socially responsible. I love gardening, rolling around in the dirt with my chickens and cooking a good meal.
Jeana-When my husband decided to become a teacher we realized our family was going to have to embrace a very simple lifestyle. I have found so much freedom in my escape from consumerism as well as joy in honoring my Creator by caring for all His "art." One of my favorite things to do is make something beautiful out of nothing. I love finding new uses for old things.
Kristal-I spent my life up until this point thinking anything to do with reducing, reusing, or recycling was for people who were "extreme", "tree-huggers" , and out-of-touch. Over the past year I have been learning how self-centered my life was as I speedily consumed just for the sake of convenience. Now I'm thinking of others as I find ways to use less, repurpose the things I would have thrown away, and teach my children to care for the people they share this planet with. Who knew it could be this fun, too!?
