My favorite Christmas gift this year was from my beautiful sister-in-law, Anita. We had told each other that we both wanted to make as many handmade gifts for our family as possible and she did not dissappoint! Isn't it cute? And it works wonderfully, too. The skin around my eyes feels so soft and I feel much better using this than I do about putting mineral oil on my face (ew!) I think it's a fantasitc gift idea and you probably want to make one for yourself, too!
*Update*
There were several comments asking about the process or recipe for this. Simply saturate the cotton swabs in olive oil and then package them in a small jar. You can add a little extra olive oil to the bottom of the jar if you like. Hope that helps!

Love this idea! I'm too cheap to spend money on eye makeup remover, this sounds much better! So you just use regular olive oil?
My sister in law said she used Extra Virgin Olive Oil, the same stuff she had in the kitchen. It really has made the area around my eyes feel so soft!
Did she soak the q-tips?? How much did she EVOO did she use??
I liked the packaging of makeup remover is a very original idea, in fact I'd like to give something like that to my sister, because it is very messy and always have makeup remover around the room, if I give her that gift she will be more orderly!
This sounds like a cool idea. Can you elaborate? Is the whole jar filled with olive oil with the q-tips completely immersed?
Thanks! I am so excited to try this out- I have never heard of doing this before. Now we can save the money I was going to use for eye makeup remover!
Cool idea! I'll have to try this. I'm always looking for natural makeups and cleansers. Thanks for the tip!
Yes can you please elaborate on whether the entire jar is filled with olive oil, or if you had pre-soaked the Q-tips? Thank you!
I LOVE this idea! Can you tell how it is made? I would love to make something like this for my sister in law for her upcoming birthday.
What an awesome gift idea! I read your blog on daily basis. This post is awesome in between all the posts. All the best.
Great idea. I use olive oil (Spanish extra virgin)every night for my entire cleansing routine. It works wonders. I love the idea of saturating some swabs and making little beauty gifts. Thanks for sharing. :)
